Over the past nine years, GRZ has evolved from an EPFL spin-off focused on advanced materials research into a profitable developer and manufacturer of hydrogen storage, compression, and conversion systems. Today, GRZ’s products are operational in more than 10 countries, supporting applications across industry, mobility, and renewable energy infrastructure.
To support this growth, GRZ is launching an equity fundraising campaign through Republic Europe.
This means that for the first time, individual investors will have the opportunity to invest in GRZ and share in our future growth.

Why are we raising capital now?
Achieving positive EBIT year to date in 2026 marks an important commercial milestone for GRZ. As a result, we are now focused on accelerating growth and scaling our operations to meet increasing market demand.
The funds raised through this campaign will support GRZ’s next phase of commercial expansion to:
- Increase manufacturing capacity
- Reduce production costs
- Expand international sales activities
- Accelerate the deployment of hydrogen systems in new markets
From a market perspective, hydrogen continues to attract significant investment worldwide.
According to the Hydrogen Council‘s latest Global Hydrogen Compass, committed investment has now surpassed USD 130B across more than 570 projects worldwide, with 90% of these projects already under construction or operational. Within Europe specifically, renewable hydrogen is expected to cover around 10% of the EU’s energy needs by 2050.
Despite this interest, opportunities for individuals to invest directly in innovative private companies remain relatively limited. By launching this campaign through Republic Europe, GRZ is opening the opportunity for a wider audience to participate in our next stage of growth.
